An Act relative to motor vehicle excise taxes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. Section 1 of Chapter 60A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 
2Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, after the words “Veterans Administration,” in 
3line 101, the following:-
4 is the recipient of a Congressional Medal of Honor, Distinguished Service Medal, Silver 
5Star, Bronze Star, or Purple Heart; nor to a motor vehicle owned and registered by or leased to a 
6veteran, who is in possession of or obtains a motor vehicle license plate, through the Registry of 
7Motor Vehicles, that signifies a Congressional Medal of Honor, Distinguished Service Medal, 
8Silver Star, Bronze Star or Purple heart; nor to a motor vehicle owned and registered by or leased 
9to a veteran who,
