2828 An Act requiring menstrual products in all state buildings.
2929 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3030 of the same, as follows:
3131 1 Chapter 7C of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2018 Official Edition, is hereby
3232 2amended by inserting after section 72, the following section:-
3333 3 Section 73.
3434 4 a. As used in this chapter, the following words shall have the following meanings unless
3535 5the context clearly requires otherwise:
3636 6 “Menstruating individuals,” any person who menstruates.
3737 7 “Disposable menstrual products,” products used by menstruating individuals including,
3838 8but not limited to, sanitary napkins, tampons, and underwear liners. 2 of 2
3939 9 b. The department shall maintain, in all real property owned, rented or otherwise
4040 10occupied by public agencies of the Commonwealth, free disposable menstrual products in both
4141 11public and private restrooms for use by menstruating individuals, whether they are employees or
4242 12members of the general public. Such products shall be provided at no charge. Such products shall
4343 13be available in a convenient manner that does not stigmatize any persons seeking such products.
