26	26	An Act relative to technical changes in chapter 30B.
27	27	Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
28	28	of the same, as follows:
29	29	1 SECTION 1. Section 1 of chapter 30B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020
30	30	2Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 10 and 11, and in lines 134 and 135,
31	31	3the words “thirty-eight A1/2 to thirty-eight O, inclusive, of chapter seven” and inserting in place
32	32	4thereof, in each instance, the following words:- 44 to 57, inclusive, of chapter 7C.
33	33	5 SECTION 2. Subsection (b) of said section 1 of said chapter 30B, as so appearing, is
34	34	6hereby amended by striking out clause (5), as so appearing, and inserting in place thereof the
35	35	7following clause:-
36	36	8 (5) a contract for the purchase of materials under specifications of the division of
37	37	9highways in the Massachusetts Department of Transportation and at prices established by the
38	38	10division, pursuant to advertising and bidding for such purpose, in connection with work to be
39	39	11performed under chapter 81 or chapter 90; 2 of 2
40	40	12 SECTION 3. Said section 1 of said chapter 30B, as so appearing, is hereby further
41	41	13amended by striking out, in line 109, as so appearing, the words “subclause (r)” and inserting in
42	42	14place thereof the following words:- subclause (s).
43	43	15 SECTION 4. Section 5 of said chapter 30B, as so appearing, is hereby amended by
44	44	16striking out, in lines 64 to 66, inclusive, as so appearing, the words “the provisions of section
45	45	17eleven A 1/2 of chapter thirty A, section nine G of chapter thirty-four or section twenty-three B
46	46	18of chapter thirty-nine” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- sections 18 to 25,
47	47	19inclusive, of chapter 30A.
48	48	20 SECTION 5. Section 16 of said chapter 30B, as so appearing, is hereby amended by
49	49	21striking out, in line 46, the words “forty J of chapter seven” and inserting in place thereof the
50	50	22following words:- 38 of chapter 7C.
51	51	23 SECTION 6. Section 18 of said chapter 30B, as so appearing, is hereby amended by
52	52	24striking out the definition of “Disadvantaged vendor” and inserting in place thereof the following
53	53	25definition:-
54	54	26 “Disadvantaged vendor”, a business beneficially owned by at least 1 minority person as
55	55	27provided in the definition of “Minority-owned business” in subsection (b) of section 6 of chapter
56	56	287C and any business beneficially owned by at least 1 woman as provided in the definition of
57	57	29“Women-owned business” in said subsection (b) of said section 6 of said chapter 7C.
58	58	30 SECTION 7. Section 23 of said chapter 30B is hereby repealed.
