31 | 31 | | 1 SECTION 19, chapter 90 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after |

33 | 33 | | 3 Section 1. (a) Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, any motor |

34 | 34 | | 4vehicle designated as a battery electric vehicle (BEV), also known as an electric car, by the U. S. |

35 | 35 | | 5Environmental Protection Agency or National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration, shall |

36 | 36 | | 6be authorized for travel on lanes designated for use by high-occupancy vehicles. |
