Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 SECTION 1. Section 17A of chapter 90 of the General Laws is hereby amended by 2striking the word “sixty-five” and inserting in place thereof the word “seventy.” 3 SECTION 2. Section 18 of chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 4Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, in line 17, after the word “control.” the 5following words: 6 Unless otherwise prohibited by federal law, the maximum speed for motor vehicles 7traveling on roadways with posted speed limits of sixty-five miles per hour shall be increased to 8seventy miles per hour.
