| 29 | 29 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | of the same, as follows: |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | 1 SECTION 1. Section 7A of Chapter 90 of the General Laws is hereby amended by |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 2adding at the end of the first paragraph the following:- |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 3 The Registrar shall adopt rules and regulations to exempt antique automobiles that are 45 |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 4years old or older, whose owners are members of a recognized antique automobile club, from the |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 5annual vehicle safety inspection program. Said antique automobiles shall be actively registered |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 6with an antique or year of manufacture registration plate to qualify for this exemption. An |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 7antique automobile exempt under this section that changes ownership shall be required to have a |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | 8vehicle safety inspection performed within seven days of being registered by the new owner. |
