2828 An Act ensuring access to state IDs for low-income people.
2929 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3030 of the same, as follows:
3131 1 SECTION 1. Section 8 of Chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020
3232 2Official Edition, is hereby amended, in line 201, by inserting after the words "age of 70." the
3333 3following sentence:-
3434 4 No fees associated with an application for a license shall be charged for a person at or
3535 5below 300 per cent of the federal poverty guidelines.
3636 6 SECTION 2. Section 8E of said chapter is hereby amended, in line 78, by inserting after
3737 7the words "age of 70." the following sentence:-
3838 8 No fees associated with an application for an identification card shall be charged for a
3939 9person at or below 300 per cent of the federal poverty guidelines.
