2929 An Act providing for a Red Shield/Blue Shield license plate to survivors of firefighters and

3131 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3232 of the same, as follows:
3333 1 SECTION 1. Section 2 of Chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014
3434 2Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, after paragraph twenty, the following
3535 3paragraph:-
3636 4 The registrar shall furnish without charge to the owner of a private passenger motor
3737 5vehicle who is a parent, child, sibling, grandchild or spouse of a paid professional firefighter or
3838 6call firefighter or police officer or reserve police officer who has died in the line-of-duty, upon
3939 7presentation of satisfactory evidence of such status as determined by the registrar, a distinctive
4040 8license plate bearing a design approved by the Registrar.
