The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Third General Court (2023-2024) _______________ An Act relative to medical parole. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 Subsection (b) of section 119A of chapter 127 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 22020 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following sentence:- An incarcerated 3person may only submit a petition for medical parole once per year or if there is a substantial 4change in their medical status, whichever is more frequent; provided, that where a petition is 5based on a substantial change in medical status, the petition may be denied reconsideration prior 6to the notification of victim of victim’s family, if the superintendent, sheriff or commissioner 7determines that there has not been a substantial change in status warranting reconsideration.
