| 31 | 31 | | 1 SECTION 1. Section 25E of chapter 138 of the Massachusetts General Laws as |

| 32 | 32 | | 2appearing in the 2012 Official Edition is hereby amended by adding the following subsection:- |

| 33 | 33 | | 3 Section 25E(1). Any distiller, manufacturer, importer or producer which obtains or |

| 34 | 34 | | 4acquires in any manner the right to sell, ship or distribute any brand item shall for the purpose of |

| 35 | 35 | | 5this section stand in the place of, and be subject to, all the rights, privileges, and duties and |

| 36 | 36 | | 6obligations of its predecessor from whom such brands or brand items were obtained or acquired. |
