| 32 | 32 | | 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, officers in all |

| 33 | 33 | | 2positions of the fire department of the Town of Falmouth subject to chapter 31 of the Generals |

| 34 | 34 | | 3Laws shall be exempt from the civil service law. |

| 35 | 35 | | 4 SECTION 2. Section 1 shall not impair the civil service status of an officer employed on |

| 36 | 36 | | 5a permanent basis in a civil service position in the fire department of the Town of Falmouth on |
