2929 An Act establishing a sick leave bank for Lisa Balentine, an employee of the Department of
3030 Transitional Assistance.
3131 Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to
3232 establish forthwith a sick leave bank for a certain employee of the department of transitional
3333 assistance, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate
3434 preservation of the public convenience.
3535 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3636 of the same, as follows:
3737 1 Notwithstanding any general or special law or rule or regulation to the contrary, the
3838 2department of transitional assistance shall establish a sick leave bank for Lisa Balentine, an
3939 3employee of the department. Any employee of the department may voluntarily contribute 1 or
4040 4more sick, personal or vacation days to the sick leave bank for use by Lisa Balentine. Sick leave
4141 5bank days shall not be used for absences unrelated to the illness or disability that necessitated the
4242 6establishment of the sick leave bank as determined by the department. Whenever Lisa Balentine 2 of 2
4343 7terminates employment with the department or requests to dissolve the sick leave bank, any
4444 8remaining time in the sick leave bank shall be transferred to the extended illness leave bank.
