31 | 31 | | Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to |
---|
32 | 32 | | establish forthwith a sick leave bank for a certain employee of the department of transitional |
---|
33 | 33 | | assistance, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate |
---|
34 | 34 | | preservation of the public convenience. |
---|
35 | 35 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
---|
36 | 36 | | of the same, as follows: |
---|
37 | 37 | | 1 Notwithstanding any general or special law or rule or regulation to the contrary, the |
---|
38 | 38 | | 2department of transitional assistance shall establish a sick leave bank for Lisa Balentine, an |
---|
39 | 39 | | 3employee of the department. Any employee of the department may voluntarily contribute 1 or |
---|
40 | 40 | | 4more sick, personal or vacation days to the sick leave bank for use by Lisa Balentine. Sick leave |
---|
41 | 41 | | 5bank days shall not be used for absences unrelated to the illness or disability that necessitated the |
---|
42 | 42 | | 6establishment of the sick leave bank as determined by the department. Whenever Lisa Balentine 2 of 2 |
---|
43 | 43 | | 7terminates employment with the department or requests to dissolve the sick leave bank, any |
---|
44 | 44 | | 8remaining time in the sick leave bank shall be transferred to the extended illness leave bank. |
