2626 An Act allowing electronic delivery receipts for certain bulk sale customers.
2727 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2828 of the same, as follows:
2929 1 SECTION 1. Section 303F of chapter 94 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2018
3030 2Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting the following paragraph: -
3131 3 “Notwithstanding any other provision of this section, a vendor using a bulk sale delivery
3232 4system equipped with the capability of issuing an electronic receipt, ticket or other recorded
3333 5representation for a bulk sale may give a purchaser the option to receive any information
3434 6required under this section through electronic means, such as a cellular telephone, a computer or
3535 7e-mail, in lieu of or in addition to a paper delivery ticket. If the purchaser opts to receive
3636 8information electronically, the vendor shall obtain the purchaser's consent in writing, which may
3737 9be through electronic means.”
3838 10 SECTION 2. Section 1 shall apply to purchases thereof, entered into on or after January
3939 111, 2023.
4040 12 SECTION 3. This act shall take effect on January 1, 2023
