| 32 | 32 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | of the same, as follows: |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, Steven Traver, |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 2chief of the fire department of the town of West Stockbridge, may continue to serve in his |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 3position, subject to approval by the select board of the town of West Stockbridge, until June 30, |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 42025, the date of his retirement or the select board votes not to reappoint him to his position, |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | 5whichever occurs first; provided, however, that he is mentally and physically capable of |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | 6performing the duties of his position. The select board may require that Steven Traver be |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | 7examined by an impartial physician designated by the select board to determine his mental and |
|---|
| 41 | 41 | | 8physical capability. Deductions shall continue to be made from the regular compensation of |
|---|
| 42 | 42 | | 9Steven Traver under chapter 32 of the General Laws, while he is employed as chief of the fire |
|---|
| 43 | 43 | | 10department of the town of West Stockbridge in accordance with all applicable laws. |

| 44 | 44 | | 11 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
