| 32 | 32 | | 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding chapter 31 of the General Laws, or any other general or |

| 33 | 33 | | 2special law to the contrary, the position of police patrol officers within the police department in |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 3the Town of Natick shall be exempt from the provisions of Chapter 31 of the General Laws. |

| 35 | 35 | | 4 SECTION 2. Section 1 shall not impair the Civil Service status of any person holding the |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 5position of police patrol officer in the Town of Natick on the effective date of this act. |
