30 | 30 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
---|
31 | 31 | | of the same, as follows: |
---|
32 | 32 | | 1 SECTION 1. Section 1 of chapter 104 of the Orleans Affordable Housing Trust Fund |
---|
33 | 33 | | 2Bylaw is hereby amended by inserting, in line 2, after the words, "low- and moderate-income |
---|
34 | 34 | | 3households", the following: "for the creation and preservation of attainable housing, as defined |
---|
35 | 35 | | 4below in §104-15". |
---|
36 | 36 | | 5 SECTION 2. And further in section 3 of said chapter by inserting, in line 2, after the |
---|
37 | 37 | | 6words, "Section 55C", the following: "and the purposes set forth above in §104-1". |

38 | 38 | | 7 SECTION 3. And further in said chapter by adding the following new section: |

39 | 39 | | 8 §104-15. Definition of Attainable Housing. |
---|
40 | 40 | | 9 For the purpose of this Bylaw, the term “attainable housing” shall mean housing that is |
---|
41 | 41 | | 10not restricted to occupancy by low- or moderate-income households, and may also include 2 of 2 |
---|
42 | 42 | | 11housing subject to maximum income limits to be occupied by households with gross income |
---|
43 | 43 | | 12greater than 80 per cent but not more than 200 per cent of the area median household income as |
---|
44 | 44 | | 13most recently determined by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, |
---|
45 | 45 | | 14adjusted for household size. |
---|
46 | 46 | | 15 SECTION 4. This act shall take effect upon its passage, provided, however, that the |
---|
47 | 47 | | 16General Court may make clerical or editorial changes of form only to the bill, unless the Select |
---|
48 | 48 | | 17Board approve amendments to the bill before enactment by the General Court; and provided |
---|
49 | 49 | | 18further that the Select Board is hereby authorized to approve amendments which shall be within |
---|
50 | 50 | | 19the scope of the general public objectives of this petition, and to further authorize the Select |
---|
51 | 51 | | 20Board to approve the final language of any such special legislation or to take any other action |
---|
52 | 52 | | 21relative thereto. |
