No. 3979 The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Third General Court (2023-2024) _______________ An Act authorizing Cynthia Falzone to purchase creditable service from the Norfolk county retirement board. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding chapter 32 of the General Laws or any other general or 2special law to the contrary, the Norfolk county retirement board shall credit Cynthia Falzone, a 3member of the Norfolk county retirement system, with 2.68 years of creditable service for school 4district employment, which includes work in Bristol county from 1997 to 2000 and Norfolk 5county during the 2002–2003 academic school year. 6 SECTION 2. Eligibility for this creditable service shall be conditioned upon payment by 7Cynthia Falzone to the Norfolk county retirement system, in an amount equal to that which 8would have been withheld as regular deductions from her regular compensation for such 9previous service plus buyback interest, in one lump sum or installments, as the Norfolk county 10retirement board shall prescribe.
