3030 An Act authorizing the town of Charlemont to continue the employment of fire department
3131 member Dennis Annear.
3232 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3333 of the same, as follows:
3434 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, Dennis Annear
3535 2a member of the Charlemont Fire Department, may continue to serve in their position until they
3636 3reach 68 years of age, the date of their retirement or the date they are removed or suspended
3737 4from office in accordance with applicable laws, rules or regulations, whichever occurs first;
3838 5provided, however, that they remain physically and mentally capable of performing the duties of
3939 6the position. If requested, Dennis Annear shall, at the expense of the Town of Charlemont, be
4040 7examined by an impartial physician designated by the Town of Charlemont to determine such
4141 8capability. No deductions shall be made from the regular compensation of Dennis Annear
4242 9pursuant to chapter 32 of the General Laws for any service subsequent to enactment.
4343 10 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
