2828 An Act authorizing the town of North Brookfield to continue the employment of Fire Chief
2929 Joseph Holway and Captain David Martin.
3030 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3131 of the same, as follows:
3232 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, Joseph Holway,
3333 2Chief of the Fire Department of the Town of North Brookfield, and David Martin, Captain of the
3434 3Fire Department of the Town of North Brookfield may continue to serve in such position until
3535 4the date of their retirement, or until the date they are relieved of their duties by the Board of
3636 5Selectmen of the Town, whichever occurs first; provided, however, that Joseph Holway and
3737 6David Martin are mentally and physically capable of performing the essential duties of the
3838 7office; and provided further, that the Board of Selectmen of the Town may, at its own expense,
3939 8require that Joseph Holway and David Martin be examined by an impartial physician designated
4040 9by the board to such capability.
4141 10 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage. Or take any action relative
4242 11thereto.
