31 | 31 | | of the same, as follows: |

32 | 32 | | 1 The secretary of the executive office of health and human services shall conduct a study |
---|
33 | 33 | | 2to recommend and implement a revision of the non-public ambulance trust fund and its fee |
---|
34 | 34 | | 3assessment and payment models. The study shall include: |
---|
35 | 35 | | 4 (i) Review of the payment models, uniform assessment and nonpublic emergency |
---|
36 | 36 | | 5ambulance assessed charges set for nonpublic ambulance service in section 67A of chapter 118E |
---|
37 | 37 | | 6of the General laws. |
---|
38 | 38 | | 7 (ii) The uniform assessment and payment models’ fiscal effect on regionalized |
---|
39 | 39 | | 8emergency-only, non-profit ambulance services with no Medicaid patients. |
---|
40 | 40 | | 9 (iii) The uniform assessment’s compliance with federal law that requires the assessments |
---|
41 | 41 | | 10set forth in said section 67A be imposed in a manner consistent with applicable federal statutes |

54 | 54 | | 23such report to the joint committee on health care and the joint committee on health care financing |
