2626 An Act establishing a sick leave bank for Paul Verdini.
2727 Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to
2828 establish forthwith a sick leave bank for a certain employee of the department of correction,
2929 therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation
3030 of the public convenience.
3131 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3232 of the same, as follows:
3333 1 Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the Department of Correction
3434 2shall establish a sick leave bank for Paul Verdini, an employee of the Department. Any employee
3535 3of the Department may voluntarily contribute 1 or more sick, personal or vacation days to the
3636 4sick leave bank for use by Paul Verdini. If Paul Verdini terminates employment with the
3737 5Department or requests to dissolve the sick leave bank, any remaining time in the sick leave bank
3838 6shall be transferred to the extended illness leave bank. Sick leave bank days shall not be used for
3939 7absences unrelated to the illness or disability that necessitated the establishment of the sick leave
4040 8bank as determined by the Department.
