2626 An Act relative to vacation time for employees of the Commonwealth who are veterans.
2727 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2828 of the same, as follows:
2929 1 Paragraph (h) of subsection (1) of section 4 of chapter 32 of the General Laws, as
3030 2appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:- If
3131 3a member in service of a retirement system, who is an employee of the commonwealth,
3232 4purchases creditable service time pursuant to this section, the retirement board shall send
3333 5notification to the appropriate human resources or personnel administrator for the agency,
3434 6department, authority, commission, bureau, division or office of the commonwealth that the
3535 7employee serves indicating the amount of creditable service time the employee purchased
3636 8pursuant to this section. The member in service shall then receive credit for such service time for
3737 9the purpose of determining the rate at which he or she earns vacation time as an employee of the
3838 10commonwealth.
