| 27 | 27 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | of the same, as follows: |

| 29 | 29 | | 1 Paragraph (h) of subsection (1) of section 4 of chapter 32 of the General Laws, as |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | 2appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:- If |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | 3a member in service of a retirement system, who is an employee of the commonwealth, |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 4purchases creditable service time pursuant to this section, the retirement board shall send |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 5notification to the appropriate human resources or personnel administrator for the agency, |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 6department, authority, commission, bureau, division or office of the commonwealth that the |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 7employee serves indicating the amount of creditable service time the employee purchased |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 8pursuant to this section. The member in service shall then receive credit for such service time for |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 9the purpose of determining the rate at which he or she earns vacation time as an employee of the |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | 10commonwealth. |
