| 31 | 31 | | 1 SECTION 1. Section 16G of Chapter 6A of the General Laws is hereby amended by |

| 32 | 32 | | 2inserting after subsection (l) the following subsection: |

| 33 | 33 | | 3 Subsection (m): The Secretary of Housing and Economic Development shall prepare |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 4annually a strategic report in conjunction with the Secretary of Energy and Environmental |

| 35 | 35 | | 5Affairs for the Commonwealth’s commercial fishing and shellfish industry. The Secretary shall |

| 36 | 36 | | 6annually evaluate the status of the commercial fishing industry and it shall be accompanied by |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 7recommendations for appropriate actions to be taken to maintain and revitalize the commercial |

| 38 | 38 | | 8fishing, shellfish and seafood industry. 2 of 2 |
