28 | 28 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
---|
29 | 29 | | of the same, as follows: |

30 | 30 | | 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 1 of chapter 51 of the General |

31 | 31 | | 2Laws, or any other general or special law, rule or regulation to the contrary, lawful permanent |
---|
32 | 32 | | 3residents 18 years or older who reside in Leverett may, upon application, have their name |
---|
33 | 33 | | 4entered on a list of registered voters established by the town clerk for the town known as the |
---|
34 | 34 | | 5town of Leverett and may thereafter vote in all Leverett town meetings, elections and actions, |
---|
35 | 35 | | 6and serve on elected Leverett municipal boards and committees. |

36 | 36 | | 7 SECTION 2. The Select Board of the town known as the town of Leverett may formulate |
---|
37 | 37 | | 8regulations and guidelines to implement the purpose of this act. |
---|
38 | 38 | | 9 SECTION 3. Nothing in this act shall be construed to confer upon lawful permanent |
---|
39 | 39 | | 10residents the right to vote for any state or federal office or any state or federal ballot question. |
