| 30 | 30 | | Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | establish forthwith a sick leave bank for a certain employee of the department of mental health, |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | of the public convenience. |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | of the same, as follows: |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 1 Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the department of mental |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 2health shall establish a sick leave bank for Anthony D. Fannoh, Jr, an employee of the |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | 3department at the Worcester recovery center and hospital. Any employee of the department may |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | 4voluntarily contribute 1 or more sick, personal or vacation days to the sick leave bank for use by |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | 5Anthony D. Fannoh, Jr. If Anthony D. Fannoh, Jr terminates employment with the department or |
|---|
| 41 | 41 | | 6requests to dissolve the sick leave bank, any remaining time in the sick leave bank shall be |
|---|
| 42 | 42 | | 7transferred to the extended illness leave bank. Sick leave bank days shall not be used for |
|---|
| 43 | 43 | | 8absences unrelated to the illness or disability that necessitated the establishment of the sick leave |
|---|
| 44 | 44 | | 9bank as determined by the department. |
