| 27 | 27 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |

| 28 | 28 | | of the same, as follows: |

| 29 | 29 | | 1 Section 1. Notwithstanding chapter 53 of the General Laws, or any other general or |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | 2special law to the contrary, a primary or caucus for the nomination of town officers shall not be |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | 3held in the Town of Hopkinton. Ballots used at a regular or special town election for the election |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 4of town officers shall not have printed thereon a party of political designation or mark, and there |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 5shall not be any political designation or mark appended to the name of a candidate for town |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 6office. |

| 35 | 35 | | 7 Section 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage. |
