An Act relative to adding efficiency to paid family and medical leave.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 Subsection (b) of section 7 of chapter 175M of the General Laws, as so appearing, is 
2hereby amended by striking out the first sentence and inserting in place thereof the following 
3sentence:- The costs of administering the department under this chapter shall be paid from the 
4trust fund and in each fiscal year shall not exceed 5 per cent of the amount remaining in the fund 
5at the end of the previous fiscal year; provided that, regardless of the trust fund balance at the 
6end of a fiscal year, in no fiscal year shall the amount available to the director for administering 
7the department decrease by more than 5 per cent from the previous year.
