2727 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2828 of the same, as follows:
2929 1 Subsection (b) of section 7 of chapter 175M of the General Laws, as so appearing, is
3030 2hereby amended by striking out the first sentence and inserting in place thereof the following
3131 3sentence:- The costs of administering the department under this chapter shall be paid from the
3232 4trust fund and in each fiscal year shall not exceed 5 per cent of the amount remaining in the fund
3333 5at the end of the previous fiscal year; provided that, regardless of the trust fund balance at the
3434 6end of a fiscal year, in no fiscal year shall the amount available to the director for administering
3535 7the department decrease by more than 5 per cent from the previous year.
