| 28 | 28 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | of the same, as follows: |

| 30 | 30 | | 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding paragraph (g) of subdivision (2) of section 3 of chapter 32 |

| 31 | 31 | | 2of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, employees of the city of |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 3Beverly employed as fire alarm operators who were hired by the city on or before January 26, |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 42006, including those fire alarm operators hired on or before January 26, 2006, who thereafter |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 5transfer to the position of public safety telecommunicator, also known as joint civilian |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 6dispatcher, for the city of Beverly shall be classified by the Beverly retirement board in Group 2. |

| 36 | 36 | | 7 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage. |
