| 30 | 30 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | of the same, as follows: |

| 32 | 32 | | 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding section 1 of chapter 51 of the General Laws or any other |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 2general or special law, rule or regulation to the contrary, any lawful permanent resident, who is |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 318 years or older and resides in the town of Wendell, may, upon application, have their name |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 4entered on a list of registered voters established by the town clerk for the town of Wendell. Such |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 5lawful permanent residents may thereafter vote in any town meeting, town election and actions |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 6of the town of Wendell and may serve on elected municipal boards and committees of the town |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | 7of Wendell. |

| 39 | 39 | | 8 SECTION 2. The select board of the town of Wendell may formulate regulations and |

| 40 | 40 | | 9guidelines to implement the purpose of this act. |

| 41 | 41 | | 10 SECTION 3. Nothing in this act shall be construed to confer upon lawful permanent |

| 42 | 42 | | 11residents the right to vote for any state or federal office or any state or federal ballot question. 2 of 2 |
