3131 An Act authorizing the town of Palmer to issue two (2) additional on premise licenses for the
3232 sale of all alcoholic beverages to be drunk on the premises and one (1) additional off premise
3333 license.
3434 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3535 of the same, as follows:
3636 1 SECTION 1. (a) Notwithstanding section 17 of chapter 138 of the General Laws, the
3737 2licensing authority of the Town of Palmer may grant two (2) licenses for the sale of all alcoholic
3838 3beverages to be drunk on the premises pursuant to section 12 of said chapter 138 (1) to Tables at
3939 4the Farm located at 3092 Palmer St, and (1) to New Restaurant Establishment located at 1411 N.
4040 5Main St. and one (1) addition license for the sales of all alcoholic beverages not to be drunk on
4141 6the premises pursuant to section 15 of said chapter 138 to Lukes' located at 1478 N. Main St. The
4242 7licenses shall be subject to all of the said chapter 138 except said section 17.
4343 8 (b) The licensing authority shall not approve the transfer of the license granted pursuant
4444 9to this act to any other location for one year, but it may grant the license to a new applicant at the 2 of 2
4545 10same location if the applicant files with the licensing authority a letter from the department of
4646 11revenue and a letter from the department of unemployment assistance indicating that the license
4747 12is in good standing with those departments and that all applicable taxes, fees and contributions
4848 13have been paid.
4949 14 (c) If the license granted pursuant to this act is cancelled, revoked or no longer in use at
5050 15the location of original issuance, the license shall be returned physically, with all legal rights,
5151 16privileges and restrictions pertaining thereto, to the licensing authority and the licensing
5252 17authority may then grant the license to a new applicant at the same location or a different
5353 18location after one year and under the same conditions as specified in this act.
5454 19 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
