30 | 30 | | 1 Section 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the Town of |

31 | 31 | | 2Stoneham Police Department shall be permitted to waive the maximum age requirement for |

32 | 32 | | 3original appointment of police officers in the Town of Stoneham; provided, however, said |
---|
33 | 33 | | 4officer-candidates for appointment meet all other requirements set forth by the Stoneham Police |

34 | 34 | | 5Department for original appointment to the position of police officer. |

35 | 35 | | 6 Section 2. The provisions of this act shall take effect immediately upon passage. |
