public higher education institutions, reports recommending that the 
accompanying order (House, No. 4713) ought to be adopted.

1 Ordered, That the committee on Higher Education be authorized to sit during a recess of 
2the General Court to make an investigation and study of House documents numbered 1252, 
31256, 1259, 1266, 1268, 1271, 1273, 1274, 1278, 1279, 1281, 1288, 1289, 1290, 1291, 1292, 
43867 and 4142, relative to higher education matters.
5 Said committee shall report to the General Court the results of its investigation and study 
6and its recommendations, if any, together with drafts of legislation necessary to carry such 
7recommendations into effect, by filing the same with the Clerk of the House of Representatives 
8on or before December 31, 2024.
