| 20 | 20 | | Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | provide for the terms of certain bonds to be issued by the commonwealth, therefore it is hereby |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | convenience. |

| 24 | 24 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | of the same, as follows: |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | 1 Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the bonds that the state |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | 2treasurer may issue pursuant to section 11 of chapter 89 of the acts of 2024 shall be issued for a |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | 3term not to exceed 30 years. All such bonds shall be payable not later than June 30, 2059, as |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | 4recommended by the governor in a message to the general court dated May 9, 2024 under section |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | 53 of Article LXII of the Amendments to the Constitution. |
