| 30 | 30 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | of the same, as follows: |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding chapter 31 of the General Laws or any other general or |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 2special law, charter, by-law, rule or regulation to the contrary in order to be eligible for a civil |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 3service promotion to the rank of fire lieutenant within the fire department in the Town of |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 4Milford, an applicant must have at least 5 years of service in the rank of firefighter or higher |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 5within a civil service fire department. A person who does not meet this requirement shall not be |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 6eligible to take a promotional examination for the position of fire lieutenant in the Milford fire |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | 7department. Except as otherwise provided herein, applicants for promotional appointments shall |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | 8be subject to all applicable provisions of said chapter 31. |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | 9 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage. |
|---|
