An Act relative to vocational and trade school classes for public school students.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. Chapter 74 of General Laws, as appearing in the 2018 Official Edition, is 
2hereby amended by inserting after Section 7C the following new Section:-
3 Section 7D. Non-vocational and trade public high schools and middle schools may 
4provide vocational and trade learning for students who are unable to attend a regional vocational 
5school. This provision shall be optional at the local level. This provision is meant for those 
6students who (i) are not accepted into a dedicated vocational and trade school or program; (ii) 
7left a vocational school or trade school; and (iii) live in the public school’s district. The 
8Department of Education shall provide guidance on such learning and develop a waiver program 
9to allow schools and students this opportunity.
