referred the petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 3482) of James C. 
Arena-DeRosa and Vanna Howard relative to allowable uses of veterans 
assistance funds in cities and towns; the petition (accompanied by bill, 
House, No. 3488) of Natalie M. Blais and others relative to the 
reimbursement of cities and towns for veterans' benefits; the petition 
(accompanied by bill, House, No. 3497) of Patricia A. Duffy relative to 
the duties of the adjutant general; the petition (accompanied by bill, 
House, No. 3519) of Kate Lipper-Garabedian and others that the Board of 
Registration in Nursing be authorized to establish a waiver program for 
military personnel who satisfactorily complete medical training offered 
through the military; the petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 3524) 
of Paul McMurtry relative to the publishing of the names of veterans on 
certain municipal tax lists; and the petition (accompanied by bill, House, 
No. 3529) of Edward R. Philips and Bruce J. Ayers relative to the general 
officer designation in the state staff of the militia, reports recommending 
that the accompanying order (House, No. 4869) ought to be adopted.

1 Ordered, That the committee on Veterans and Federal Affairs be authorized to sit during 
2a recess of the General Court to make an investigation and study of House documents numbered 
33482, 3488, 3497, 3519, 3524 and 3529, relative to veterans’ assistance, tax notification, 
4education requirements and other related matters.
5 Said committee shall report to the General Court the results of its investigation and study 
6and its recommendations, if any, together with drafts of legislation necessary to carry such 
7recommendations into effect, by filing the same with the Clerk of the House of Representatives 
8on or before December 31, 2024.
