House, No. 2344) of Russell E. Holmes relative to police transparency; the 
petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 2348) of Mary S. Keefe and 
others relative to military grade controlled property; the petition 
(accompanied by bill, House, No. 2407) of Jeffrey Rosario Turco relative 
to the membership of the Peace Officer Standards and Training 
Commission; and the petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 2412) of 
Erika Uyterhoeven for legislation to increase oversight of the 
Massachusetts State Police through stringent budget accounting and 
regulation of overtime reporting, reports recommending that the 
accompanying order (House, No. 4878) ought to be adopted [Senator 
Velis dissents].

1 Ordered, That the committee on Public Safety and Homeland Security be authorized to 
2sit during a recess of the General Court to make an investigation and study of House documents 
3numbered 2315, 2336, 2344, 2348, 2407 and 2412, relative to law enforcement and training.
4 Said committee shall report to the General Court the results of its investigation and study 
5and its recommendations, if any, together with drafts of legislation necessary to carry such 
6recommendations into effect, by filing the same with the Clerk of the House of Representatives 
7on or before December 31, 2024.
