The committee on Public Safety and Homeland Security, to whom
were referred the petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 2356) of
David Henry Argosky LeBoeuf and Patricia A. Duffy relative to
establishing and administering a program to assist landlords and lessors
with providing fire safety education and fire prevention measures in multi-
unit residential properties; and the petition (accompanied by bill, House,
No. 2386) of Edward R. Philips and Vanna Howard relative to fire
protection systems for buildings and structures, reports recommending that
the accompanying order (House, No. 4901) ought to be adopted.

Ordered, That the committee on Public Safety and Homeland Security be authorized to
sit during a recess of the General Court to make an investigation and study of House documents
numbered 2356 and 2386, relative to fire protection systems for buildings and structures.
Said committee shall report to the General Court the results of its investigation and study
and its recommendations, if any, together with drafts of legislation necessary to carry such
recommendations into effect, by filing the same with the Clerk of the House of Representatives
on or before December 31, 2024.
