1919 An Act to protect the collective bargaining rights of certain administrative employees.
2020 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2121 of the same, as follows:
2222 1 The definition of “Employee” in section 1 of chapter 150E of the General Laws, as
2323 2appearing in the 2022 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the second sentence
2424 3the following sentence:- No person employed by the commonwealth in the Management
2525 4Classification Series below the level of M-VI shall be excluded from the coverage of this chapter
2626 5unless either the department of labor relations has determined that the actual duties of the
2727 6particular position or positions meet the test of a managerial employee established in this
2828 7definition or an agreement exists with the exclusive representative of the bargaining unit that
2929 8covers similar types of work.
