The committee on the Judiciary, to whom were referred the petition
(accompanied by bill, Senate, No. 955) of Sal N. DiDomenico for
legislation to provide for equity within the judicial branch and the petition
(accompanied by bill, House, No. 1408) of Daniel Cahill and Sal N.
DiDomenico relative to adjusting the salaries of certain judicial branch
employees, reports recommending that the accompanying bill (House, No.
4983) ought to pass.

An Act providing for equity within the judicial branch.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. Section 14 of chapter 185 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022
2Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 2, the figure “81.57” and inserting in
3place thereof the following figure:- 84.57.
4 SECTION 2. Section 9A of chapter 185C of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby
5amended by striking out, in line 3, the figure “81.57” and inserting in place thereof the following
6figure:- 84.57.
7 SECTION 3. Section 22 of chapter 211 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby
8amended by striking out, in line 1, the figure “$232,101” and inserting in place thereof the
9following figure:- $242,101.
10 SECTION 4. Said section 22 of said chapter 211 is hereby further amended by striking
11out, in line 2, the figure “$226,187” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:-

13 SECTION 5. Section 2 of chapter 211A of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby
14amended by striking out, in line 1, the figure “$219,856” and inserting in place thereof the
15following figure:- $229,856.
16 SECTION 6. Said section 2 of said chapter 211A is hereby further amended by striking
17out, in line 2, the figure “$213,924” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:-

19 SECTION 7. Section 6 of said chapter 211A is hereby amended by striking out, in line
2010, the figure “81.57” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- 84.57.
21 SECTION 8. Section 4 of chapter 211B of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby
22amended by striking out, in line 3, the figure “$207,855” and inserting in place thereof the
23following figure:- $217,855.
24 SECTION 9. Said section 4 of said chapter 211B is hereby further amended by striking
25out, in line 5, the figure “$213,966” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:-
26$223,966.
27 SECTION 10. Said section 4 of said chapter 211B is hereby further amended by striking
28out, in line 7, the figure “$220,160” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:-

30 SECTION 11. Section 35A of chapter 217 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is

38 SECTION 14. Section 79 of said chapter 218 is hereby amended by striking out, in line 2,
39the figure “81.57” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- 84.57.
40 SECTION 15. Section 93 of said chapter 221 is hereby amended by striking out, in line 2,
41the figure “81.57” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- 84.57.
42 SECTION 16. Section 94 of said chapter 221 is hereby amended by striking out, in line
4311, the figure “81.57” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- 84.57.
44 SECTION 17. Said section 94 of said chapter 221 is hereby further amended by striking
45out, in line 20, the figure “81.57” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- 84.57.
46 SECTION 18. This act shall be effective on of July 1, 2025.
