2828 Resolve for a climate change staffing study.
2929 1Resolved, Resolved, notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the Office of
3030 2Climate Innovation and Resilience, the Department of Environmental Protection, and
3131 3representatives of the twelve Massachusetts regional planning agencies shall conduct a study to
3232 4determine the appropriate staffing levels and resources necessary to carry out climate change
3333 5response planning and strategy at the regional level. This study will have a particular focus on
3434 6ensuring that resources for these efforts are made available for both rural and urban communities
3535 7at appropriate levels.
3636 8 The agencies shall file a report of their findings and recommendations with the clerks of
3737 9the house of representatives and the senate, the chairs of the house and senate committees on
3838 10ways and means, and the house and senate chairs of environment, natural resources, and
3939 11agriculture, not later than March 31, 2024.
