25	25	An Act prohibiting body size discrimination.
26	26	Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
27	27	of the same, as follows:
28	28	1 SECTION 1. Section 89 of chapter 71 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020
29	29	2Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “identity,”, in lines 98 and 349, in
30	30	3each instance, the following words:- “height or weight,”.
31	31	4 SECTION 2. Section 5 of chapter 76 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby
32	32	5amended by inserting after the word “identity,”, in line 11, the following words:- “height or
33	33	6weight,”.
34	34	7 SECTION 3. Section 12B of said chapter 76 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is
35	35	8hereby amended by inserting after the word “identity,”, in line 11, the following words:- “height
36	36	9or weight,”.
37	37	10 SECTION 4. Section 3 of chapter 151B of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby
38	38	11amended by inserting after the word “identity,”, in lines 17 and 64, in each instance, the 2 of 3
39	39	12following words:- “height or weight, unless for the purposes of compliance with any established
40	40	13state, federal, or industry safety standard,”.
41	41	14 SECTION 5. Section 4 of said chapter 151B is hereby amended by inserting after the
42	42	15word “identity,”, in lines 3, 187, 202, 210, 221, 230, 264, 291, 298, 309, 359, 367, 377, 477, 488,
43	43	16493, 500, 633, 644, 655, 821, 831 in each instance, the following words:- “height or weight,
44	44	17unless for the purposes of compliance with any established state, federal, or industry safety
45	45	18standard,”.
46	46	19 SECTION 6. Section 2 of chapter 151C of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby
47	47	20amended by inserting after the word “race,”, in lines 5 and 18, in each instance, the following
48	48	21words:- “height or weight,”.
49	49	22 SECTION 7. Section 2A of said chapter 151C, as so appearing, is hereby amended by
50	50	23inserting after the word “race,”, in lines 9 and 15, in each instance, the following words:- “height
51	51	24or weight,”.
52	52	25 SECTION 8. Section 2 of chapter 151E of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby
53	53	26amended by inserting after the word “sex,”, in lines 14 and 22, in each instance, the following
54	54	27words:- “height or weight, unless for the purposes of compliance with any established state,
55	55	28federal, or industry safety standard,”.
56	56	29 SECTION 9. Section 92A of chapter 272 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby
57	57	30amended by inserting after the word “identity,”, in line 10, the following words:- “height or
58	58	31weight, unless for the purposes of compliance with any established state, federal, or industry
59	59	32safety standard,”. 3 of 3
60	60	33 SECTION 10. Section 98 of said chapter 272, as so appearing, is hereby amended by
61	61	34inserting after the word “identity,”, in line 3, the following words:- “height or weight, unless for
62	62	35the purposes of compliance with any established state, federal, or industry safety standard,”.
