2828 An Act relative to continuation of health insurance in the case of plant closings.
2929 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3030 of the same, as follows:
3131 1 SECTION 1. Section one hundred and fifty C of chapter one hundred and forty-nine A of
3232 2the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting in
3333 3line 5 after the words "chapter one hundred and seventy-five" the following words:- or a contract
3434 4for hospital and medical services pursuant to chapter one hundred and seventy-six A and chapter
3535 5one hundred and seventy-six B or an agreement for dental services pursuant to chapter one
3636 6hundred and seventy-six E or an agreement for optometric services pursuant to chapter one
3737 7hundred and seventy-six F or a health maintenance contract pursuant to chapter one hundred and
3838 8seventy-six G and,. 2 of 2
3939 9 SECTION 2. Section one hundred and fifty C of chapter one hundred and forty-nine A of
4040 10the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, is hereby further amended by
4141 11adding the following paragraph as a second paragraph:-
4242 12 No person shall by a special contract with an employee or by any other means exempt
4343 13himself from this section. The president and treasurer of a corporation and any officers or agents
4444 14having the management of such corporation shall be deemed to be a person having employees in
4545 15his service within the meaning of this section.
