| 27 | 27 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | of the same, as follows: |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | 1 Chapter 112 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 official edition, is hereby |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | 2amended by adding the following section:- |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | 3 Section 59B. Any contract or agreement which creates or establishes the terms of a |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 4partnership, employment, or any other form of professional relationship with a veterinarian |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 5registered to practice veterinary medicine pursuant to section 55 of this chapter, which includes |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 6any restriction of the right of such veterinarian to practice veterinary medicine in any geographic |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 7area for any period of time after the termination of such partnership, employment or professional |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 8relationship shall be void and unenforceable with respect to said restriction; provided, however, |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 9that nothing herein shall render void or unenforceable the remaining provisions of any such |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | 10contract or agreement. |
