2828 An Act relative to the lawful sale of ammunition.
2929 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3030 of the same, as follows:
3131 1 Section 122B of Chapter 140 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official
3232 2Edition, shall be amended by inserting the following language at the end of the section:
3333 3 Notwithstanding any special law or regulation to the contrary nothing in this section shall
3434 4be deemed as requiring a company outside of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to be
3535 5required to be licensed under this section. Said companies shall be entitled to sell and deliver
3636 6inert ammunition components to persons properly licensed to possess or purchase ammunition
3737 7under sections 129B or 131 of this chapter, through the internet, U.S. Mail or by any other means
3838 8common to interstate commerce. All deliveries of ammunition under this paragraph, whether in
3939 9person or by common carrier, must require the signature of the licensee and photographic
4040 10identification. 2 of 2
4141 11 For the purposes of this section the term "inert components" shall include, but not be
4242 12limited to the following: cases, bullets, shot, wads.
