2828 An Act clarifying constitutional officer employers for collective bargaining purposes.
2929 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3030 of the same, as follows:
3131 1 SECTION 1. The definition of "employee" in Section 1 of Chapter 150E of the General
3232 2Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the words
3333 3"and the officers and employees within the departments of the state secretary, state treasurer,
3434 4state auditor and attorney general".
3535 5 SECTION 2. The definition of "employer" in Section 1 of Chapter 150E of the General
3636 6Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by adding the following sentence:-
3737 7 In the case of employees of the state secretary, state treasurer, state auditor and attorney
3838 8general, the employer shall be the state secretary, state treasurer, state auditor and attorney
3939 9general respectively.
