| 30 | 30 | | 1 SECTION 1. Paragraph (g) of subdivision (2) of section 3 of chapter 32 of the General |

| 31 | 31 | | 2Law, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 253 |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 3and 254, the words:- ; University of Massachusetts police. |

| 33 | 33 | | 4 SECTION 2. Said paragraph (g) of said subsection (2) of said section 3 of chapter 32, as |

| 34 | 34 | | 5so appearing, is hereby further amended by adding after the word “agent”, in line 328, the |

| 35 | 35 | | 6following words:- ; police officers of the University of Massachusetts system. |

| 36 | 36 | | 7 SECTION 3. Notwithstanding the provisions of chapter 32 of the General Laws, or any |

| 37 | 37 | | 8other general or special law to the contrary, the state board of retirement shall establish and |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | 9implement a retirement incentive for University of Massachusetts police who held positions |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | 10appointed under section 32A of chapter 75 immediately prior to the effective date of this act. 2 of 2 |

| 40 | 40 | | 11Each eligible member of the University of Massachusetts police may request and shall receive a |
|---|
| 41 | 41 | | 12combination of total years of creditable service and years of age, the sum of which shall total, yet |
|---|
| 42 | 42 | | 13not be greater than, five years of creditable service and five years of age, provided said police |
|---|
| 43 | 43 | | 14officer shall retire within twelve months of the date of enactment of this section. |
