An Act supporting residents and communities in resolving tax.
Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to 
forthwith lessen the minimum payment for the redemption of parcels in tax title, therefore it is 
hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public 
convenience.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 Section 62A of chapter 60 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, 
2is hereby amended by striking out, in line 12, the words "25 per cent of the amount needed to 
3redeem the parcel" and inserting in place thereof the following words:- up to 25 per cent of the 
4amount needed to redeem the parcel.
