2727 An Act reducing the costs for adoption.
2828 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
2929 of the same, as follows:
3030 1 Section 6 of chapter 62 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, is
3131 2hereby amended by adding the following subsection:-
3232 3 (w)(1) There is hereby established a credit for licensed Massachusetts attorneys who
3333 4provide pro bono legal services in at least one adoption per year. Each adoption case shall entitle
3434 5said attorney to a $500 credit and shall be limited to no more than $2,500 in each taxable year.
